About the Event

About

Sedona, Arizona is home to some of the best mountain bike trails in the US. Join North Star Mountain Bike Guides for a week in the red rock desert and find out why. We’ll spend four days enjoying epic views of the red rock formations while riding the best intermediate (blue) to advanced (black) singletrack in the area. Each morning will start with a hearty breakfast to fuel you up before we head out on the trails. We’ll then head out on a 3 - 4 hour ride, stopping to have lunch on the trail. After our ride, you can relax on the deck or in the hot tub while you take in the red rock views, explore downtown Sedona, or go for a hike, or whatever you like. In the evenings we’ll have group dinners and more time to relax and recover for the next day.

The Riding

Sedona, Arizona is home to over 120 miles of singletrack that will put a permanent grin on your face. Known for its desert riding with amazing views of numerous red rock formations and valleys, Sedona is a riders paradise. Your guides will plan four days of guided rides on some of the best blue to black trails in the area, taking all the guesswork out of map reading and choosing which trails to ride.

Day #1 - Friday, March 13

Guests may check in any time after 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13, at the guest house. Guests are encouraged to use the afternoon and evening to settle-in, prep their bike or pick-up their rental, and just enjoy being in Sedona. Evening refreshments with heavy appetizers will be provided.

Day #2 - Saturday, March 14

Our intro to Sedona will take us to the Long Canyon area where our ride will finish on the iconic Mescal trail. Breakfast, trail lunch, snacks and dinner are included.

Day #3 - Sunday, March 15

Intermediate to advanced riding in the Little Horse and Hogs area, featuring with views of Courthouse Butte and Bell Rock. Breakfast, trail lunch, snacks are included. Guests are responsible for their own dinner.

Day #4 - Monday, March 16

Monday will be a rest day for the group and a chance for riders to explore Sedona on their own. Suggested activities include hiking to the top of Bell Rock, visiting Palatki Heritage Site with it’s cliff dwellings and cave paintings, or just enjoying the Arizona sunshine. In case of inclement weather, Thursday may be a riding day. Breakfast and lunch fixings are provided and guests are responsible for their own dinner.

Day #5 - Tuesday, March 17

After a day of rest, it’s time for some more challenging riding on the blue and black trails surrounding Cathedral Rock. Breakfast, trail lunch, snacks and dinner are included.

Day #6 - Wednesday, March 18

On our last day of riding we will head to the west side of Sedona to the Herkenham Trailhead, known for it’s amazing views on a mix of intermediate through advanced trails. Breakfast, trail lunch, snacks and dinner at Oak Creek Brewery are included.

Day #7 - Friday, March 20

After breakfast, guests will say their good-byes and check-out of the guest house. All guests must check out by 10:00 a.m.
